J. J. Heckenhauer Bookstore (Holzmarkt 5, 72070 Tübingen) where Hermann Hesse — poet, novelist and painter and 1946 recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature — apprenticed as a bookseller for three years and worked one year as an assistant bookseller from 1895 - 1899.
