






Photographer Carl Van Vechten (June 17, 1880 – December 21, 1964) made portraits of many key figures in the Harlem Renaissance, including the writers pictured here: Zora Neale Hurston, W. E. B. Du Bois, Margaret Walker, Richard Wright, Nella Larsen, Langston Hughes, and Countee Cullen.
